Version of October 2, 2026
These terms govern the use of Fring. By creating an account, you accept them. The publisher is identified in the legal notice.
Fring helps you manage a wardrobe: an inventory of your items, outfit building, suggestions, usage statistics, and optional social features (feed, challenges, friends, lending, a marketplace between individuals). The service is free. Its features change over time; some may be added, modified or removed.
An account is personal. You provide a valid e-mail address and keep your password secret; you are responsible for what is done from your account. You can download your data and delete your account at any time from Profile > Settings. Fring is meant for people aged 15 and over; below that age, a parent's consent is required.
The photos, texts and reviews you publish remain yours. So that they can be displayed, you grant the publisher, solely to operate the service and for as long as they are published, a free, non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce and display them to the people you have chosen. What you keep private (your wardrobe, by default) is shown to no one else. You confirm that you hold the rights to what you publish.
Publishing illegal content (hateful, harassing, violent, pornographic, infringing privacy or the rights of others, counterfeit), impersonating someone, selling a prohibited or counterfeit item, deceiving a buyer, sending unsolicited messages, or trying to disrupt the service or access other accounts' data.
Any content can be reported, with or without an account, at the address given in the legal notice or with the "Report a problem" button. The publisher reviews every report, removes content that is clearly illegal or contrary to these terms, and may suspend an account for serious or repeated breaches. A negative review is never removed for that reason alone. The person concerned is told about the decision and its reasons, and can contest it by replying to the message received.
The marketplace connects individuals who sell and buy second-hand clothes. Fring is neither seller nor buyer, takes no commission and plays no part in payment or delivery, which are settled directly between the two parties. Sellers describe the item and its condition honestly; everyone remains responsible for their own commitments. Listings that breach these terms are removed.
Clothing recognition, outfit suggestions, stylist advice and virtual try-on are produced automatically by models running on Fring's own server. They are suggestions: they may be inaccurate and are not professional advice. Your photos are not used to train any model.
The demo account is shared by all visitors and reset every night. Do not enter any personal information in it.
The publisher does its best to keep Fring available and your data backed up, but cannot guarantee permanent availability. It cannot be held liable for exchanges between users or for how suggestions are used. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you hold under consumer law.
You can stop using Fring and delete your account at any time. The publisher may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, after informing the person, except in an emergency or where the law requires otherwise.
These terms may change. Any significant change is announced to you before it takes effect; continuing to use Fring after that date means you accept it. The version in force and its date are shown at the top of this page.
These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, first write to the publisher to seek an amicable solution; failing that, the competent courts are those provided by law, including the court of your place of residence if you are a consumer.
